Florian Vogel reconfirmed his excellent early season form with a third place at the second world cup of the year in Offenburg, Germany, beaten only by reigning Olympic and World champion Julien Absalon and fellow Swiss rider Christoph Sauser. Nino Schurter also had an excellent showing, re-affirming his Olympic ambitions with fourth place, retaining his overall lead in the World U-23 ranking. With strong rides by Jürg Graf (18th) and Thomas Fritschknecht (17th) the Swisspower Team had 4 racers in the top 20.
